Companies bent on changing technology are almost always driven by a powerful innovation engine.
(Okay, okay… and the hope they’ll one day make more money than Microsoft.) An innovation
engine is fueled by talented, experienced, passionate individuals who can’t sleep until they’ve
created the new, new widget, process, or service or radically improved on an existing one.
To extend the engine metaphor: exceptional, innovative people are to success as a competition
clutch and four-on-the-floor are to the Little Deuce Coupe. Take the four who make up our
Executive Team: Between them, they can point to 10 degrees, including advanced degrees
from Harvard, Stanford, and The University of Texas. Gentlemen, start our engine
Eric King is our Director of Digital Architecture and Design and the second “Eric” on the Executive Team. (Stranger than fiction, we know.) To avoid confusion, we refer to this Eric as “King,” not only because it’s his last name, but when it comes to designing ICs, Eric rules. Eric, uh, that is, King, came to us from RF Micro Devices where, as Director of Engineering, he led multiple IC design teams and was instrumental in designing key baseband processor and transceiver ICs, as well as the system analysis and engineering specs for 802.11 solutions. Other Kingly pursuits include whitewater kayaking and attending sporting events with the Queen and royal family.
